TiR Raises Money for The American Red Cross - Haiti Relief
Trapped In A Rumor is proud to announce that it's share of the proceeds from their March show, Got Luck?, will go to the American Red Cross' Haiti Relief efforts.
With your ticket purchase, you'll be helping a great cause! The American Red Cross offers compassionate services in five areas: community services that help the needy; support and comfort for military members and their families; the collection, processing and distribution of lifesaving blood and blood products; educational programs that promote health and safety; and international relief and development programs.
The American Red Cross has had an ongoing presence in Haiti since 2004, supporting local disaster preparedness, HIV education, malaria prevention and measles immunization initiatives. When the earth began to shake on January 12, 2010, the American Red Cross staff of 14, including head of the local delegation Matthew Marek, reacted quickly by providing first aid, assessing the damage and distributing pre-positioned supplies to people fleeing the crumbling buildings. One month later, Matthew, his team and the more than 3,000 local Haitian Red Cross Society volunteers continue to be a critical part of the response. They have intimate knowledge of Haiti and the trust of its people because of the Red Cross’ permanent role in the community.

Trapped In A Rumor is coming to Danville!
Trapped In A Rumor is honored that the Town of Danville has provided us with a Full Co-sponsorship. We are grateful for the weekly rehearsal space they have provided us and consider ourselves blessed to be performing 12 shows this year in the historic Village Theatre.
Trapped In A Rumor is proud to be donating the majority of the profits from our shows to charity. We feel it is our duty in these times of need to help those less fortunate than us any way we can.
What the Town of Danville had to say about TiR
Over the last five years, the Town’s Village Theatre has been home to a variety of comedy shows which were hosted by outside user groups. These shows have filled theatre seats and provided an entertainment alternative to traditional theatre performances. Hosting of an improvisational comedy troupe (Trapped In A Rumor) will meet the interests for this type of entertainment, provide a monthly entertainment destination, and provide fundraising opportunities for local community organizations. |

Welcome!
Trapped In A Rumor is an Improv Company based out of the East Bay that performs improvisational community theatre. We are live, unscripted, and unpredictable. If you've ever seen 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' then you already know a bit of what we're about. Short form improv is comprised of brief, unrelated scenes with actors who are spontaneously called onstage and then given games or characters to play out on the spot. Now here's where you come in. Most of the time we take our leads from the audience, so a smart and sassy group is key for a great show. Keep in mind that performances of Trapped In A Rumor are PG-13 unless otherwise advertised. When you come to see us be prepared to participate! We're counting on your suggestions, your laughs, and your luster! What happens next is anybody's guess.
The performances of Trapped In A Rumor are generally PG-13, unless otherwise advertised. A smart and sassy audience makes for a great show, as we take our inspirations from you, so when you come to see us perform, be prepared to make suggestions, to laugh and to have the time of your life! We're counting on you guys! |
