Eugene O'Neill Foundation
Trapped In A Rumor is proud to announce that its share of the proceeds from their August show, Mental Vacation, will go to the Eugene O'Neill Foundation!
With your ticket purchase, you'll be helping a great cause! The mission of the Eugene O'Neill Foundation, Tao House, is to celebrate and promote the vision and legacy of Eugene O'Neill, America's foremost playwright.
The Eugene O'Neill Foundation, Tao House was established for the purpose of acquiring the house and developing the site into a center for performing arts and study. Scholars of the theatre agree that O'Neill can be ranked, along with Shakespeare and Shaw, as one of the three greatest playwrights in the English-speaking world. O'Neill received four Purlitzer Prizes for his work and is the only American playwright to have been awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.
On October 19, 1976, President Gerald Ford signed SB 2398, calling for the establishment of the Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site into law. Tao House officially became the property of the federal government on June 12, 1980.
The enabling legislation stipulated that the National Park Service is responsible for operation, maintenance and public programs. The Eugene O'Neill Foundation, Tao House is responsible for artistic and educational programs. The National Park Service's General Management Plan, signed into the Federal Register in 1991 describes the plans for the site: small scale theatrical performances, an artist in residence program, full public access, seminars and interpretive tours. Through the efforts of the Foundation, Tao House became a National Historic Site. The National Park Service has shown tremendous commitment to the project and has restored the house to its original design.
Join for a fun filled evening and help a great cause!
Tickets will be available through the Village Theatre's website, www.villagetheatreshows.com. |

National Ovarian Cancer Coalition
Trapped In A Rumor is proud to announce that its share of the proceeds from their July show, Patriot Axe, will go to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition!
With your ticket purchase, you'll be helping a great cause! The mission of the NOCC is to raise awareness and increase education about ovarian cancer. The Coalition is committed to improving the survival rate and quality of life for women with ovarian cancer.
More than 20,000 women in the United States are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year, and approximately 15,000 women die annually from the disease. If diagnosed and treated early, when the cancer is confined to the ovary, the five-year survival rate is over 90 percent. That is why it is imperative that the early signs and symptoms of the disease are recognized, not only by women, but also by their families and the medical community.
Through national programs and local Chapter initiatives, the NOCC's goal is to make more people aware of the early symptoms of ovarian cancer. In addition, the NOCC provides information to assist the newly diagnosed patient, to provide hope to survivors, and to support caregivers. |

Child's Play
Trapped In A Rumor is proud to announce that its share of the proceeds from their June show, Terminal Offense, will go to the Child's Play Charity - Children's Hospital Oakland!
With your ticket purchase, you'll be helping a great cause! Child's Play Charity is a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in our network of over 60 hospitals worldwide.
Since 2003 Child’s Play, with the help of hospital staff, has set up gift wish lists full of video games, toys, and movies. Some of these kids are in pretty bad shape. Imagine being stuck alone in a hospital over the holidays, getting something from a fellow gamer would really raise their spirits. Some of the stuff the hospital will give away for kids to keep, while other gifts (like consoles) will be kept by the hospital for patients to use throughout the year. |

TiR Raises Money for The American Red Cross - Haiti Relief
Trapped In A Rumor is proud to announce that it's share of the proceeds from their March show, Got Luck?, will go to the American Red Cross' Haiti Relief efforts.
With your ticket purchase, you'll be helping a great cause! The American Red Cross offers compassionate services in five areas: community services that help the needy; support and comfort for military members and their families; the collection, processing and distribution of lifesaving blood and blood products; educational programs that promote health and safety; and international relief and development programs.
The American Red Cross has had an ongoing presence in Haiti since 2004, supporting local disaster preparedness, HIV education, malaria prevention and measles immunization initiatives. When the earth began to shake on January 12, 2010, the American Red Cross staff of 14, including head of the local delegation Matthew Marek, reacted quickly by providing first aid, assessing the damage and distributing pre-positioned supplies to people fleeing the crumbling buildings. One month later, Matthew, his team and the more than 3,000 local Haitian Red Cross Society volunteers continue to be a critical part of the response. They have intimate knowledge of Haiti and the trust of its people because of the Red Cross’ permanent role in the community.
