The History Of How We Became "Trapped"After performing in short form, long form, and gaming style improv, Joe Saam came to find that his purest joy came from the shorter, game style improv performance, similar to what you may have seen on Whose Line Is It Anyway... In January of 2009, Joe approached the director, Ron Llenado, of the improv troupe he was apart of, Rumor Has It, and asked what his thoughts were about allowing Joe to start a "Whose Line" style improv troupe. It didn't take long for Ron to give Joe his blessing. Within a month, auditions were held. Trapped In A Rumor was founded by Joe Saam, Andy Bardin, Bill Younger, Marie Applegate Prasad and Wenonah Purcell. The troupe put on their first show less than a month after being formed, a feat that typically takes a longer period of time. Today, Trapped In A Rumor has grown to 8 members and is preparing to perform monthly. They continue to look for new ways to entertain improv fans everywhere. |
